Recording an interview episode

Recording with a guest works just like a solo episode, with one extra step: send your guest the invite link ahead of time. When they arrive they'll wait in the lobby until admitted by a host or producer.

When you hit Start Session, give it a real name instead of leaving the default date-and-time name. The guest's name or an episode number works well.

On the pre-join screen, double-check your camera and microphone selections rather than assuming the browser picked the right ones by default. It's easy to have the wrong mic selected even when the meter shows signal coming in.

Once your guest joins and you admit them, keep an eye on their audio level: aim for around halfway on the meter, and avoid letting it stay in the red.

You can drop markers and notes as you go. Each person is captured locally on their own device at full quality, so you get a clean, separate track per person, and every file uploads on its own after you stop.

If you have back-to-back interviews scheduled, locking the room keeps a new guest's join request from interrupting the one in progress. And if a guest asks how to hide their own video, they'll find it in their own settings menu, same as yours.
