Who we are

SureTake is a Canadian company that provides browser-based podcast recording software. If you have any questions about this policy, you can reach us at hello@suretake.io.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to provide the service:

• Account info — your name and email address when you sign up.
• Payment info — processed securely by Stripe. We never store your card details.
• Recordings — the audio and video files you and your guests create during sessions.
• Usage data — basic information about how you use the app to help us improve the product.

How we use your information

• To provide and operate the SureTake service.
• To process payments and send billing-related emails.
• To notify you and any contact selected by you when a recording is ready.
• To respond to support requests.
• To improve the product over time.

We do not sell your personal data. Ever.

Your recordings

Recordings are stored securely in Supabase. They are automatically deleted 30 days after the session. Download your files before then if you want to keep them.

If your account is managed by a Studio, your show recordings marked as visible will be accessible to that Studio's owner. You control visibility per show in your show settings — private shows are never shared. Studios may also grant their team members access to client recordings.

Third-party services

We use trusted third-party services to run SureTake. Each handles data according to their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — database and file storage
• Stripe — payment processing
• LiveKit — real-time audio/video sessions
• Railway — backend infrastructure
• Resend — transactional email
• Vercel — website hosting

Recording consent

You are responsible for obtaining consent from all participants before recording. This includes guests who join your session. SureTake does not obtain consent on your behalf. Make sure everyone in the room knows they're being recorded.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. If you'd like to delete your account and all associated data, email us at hello@suretake.io and we'll take care of it.

If you're in Quebec, you have additional rights under Law 25, including the right to data portability and the right to be informed of any breach affecting your data.

Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Recordings are deleted automatically after 30 days. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data promptly — typically within 30 days.

Age requirement

SureTake is for users 18 and older. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will remove it.

Applicable law

This policy is governed by Canadian federal privacy law (PIPEDA) and Quebec's Law 25 where applicable. By using SureTake, you agree that any disputes will be handled under Canadian law.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to how we handle your data, we'll notify you by email or with a notice in the app. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
